The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on whenever it comes across one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots in this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This read more could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
